Jack’s Subs is a tiny little place located on the border of Arcadia and El Monte. I have been to this place 2 times this week. Prices are fair and the amount of food definately doesnt look like alot but it is definately enough. The past two times ive been i have gotten the Pastrami burger combo which comes with a pretty gargantuan cheeseburger with a decent amount of pastrami on top, a side order of freshly made fries, and a drink all for $6.49. Though it may look like any other burger there’s just something about a burger thats made from a mom and pop shop that just tastes so much better. The burger isnt dry instead it is nice and juicy, you are able to taste the cheese in the cheeseburger rather than knowing its there but not being able to taste it. You cant really beat a good ol fashioned burger meal, and while everyone else may be charging up the ass for a burger with pastrami, Jack’s Subs definately beats there competitors in price AND taste.

so im in chapel right now. emily forced me to go but im kind of glad that i went. the guy who is speaking is chinese. hi last name is yeh im not exactly sure what hes talking about but its sorta funny. im doing this one my new laptop and its super hard to type on this damn small thing. the keyboard is so small i can barely fit my fingers on here.

ha this guy is pretty funny. pretty cool how he can use his faulty teaching methods to relate it to the bible. good stuff.

Samaritans… neighbors of jews back in the day. so who is your neighbor present day?  how do you deal with people who hurt you? So how do you love a neighbor like that?

uh… so yeah cool… i though id would just post something about this… im rarely in chapel and here i am.

by the way Paul Chang’s band played worship. theyre so good. there band is called “the frangrance” i believe they have a myspace

So… there are a few pics that i havent uploaded. theyre from maybe a month back… and since i started this blog up again why not upload it? just some random pictures i think are pretty decent. 2 from my recent portrait project where i have the subject stand in front of a minimalistic background. a few from a santa monica trip i went on with my friend Sarah, and a few random ones here and there.

So it’s been a long while since ive been on this blog. last time i was on here i was doing reviews for airsoft guns, diys, and stuff. im still playing that but not as much. I guess you can say ive taken alot more interest and food. Today i went to a little place to eat called Ginzaya with my friends Emily and Sander. Its a small little Japanese sushi restaurant located in the heart of LOVELY La Mirada, barely a mile away from BIOLA. Apparently there are 4 locations in OC, 1 just happens to be near my school. The food is pretty decent. It isn’t the most spectacular sushi ive ever eaten but it’s definately on the better side of sushi. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and hamachi (yellowtail) by itself. The spicy tuna roll was well present and well… taste pretty much like any other spicy tuna roll ive eaten but slightly less chunky with the spicy tuna. the hamachi wasnt as well present or at least the presentation wasnt as visually appealing, nor was it the best hamachi ive ever had… the texture was slightly off wasn’t as firm as i had thought it would be. Emily ordered some roll called the “Mountain.” It looked quite appetizing and the presentation of the dish was quite exquisite when compared to the rolls that i ordered, sauces were drizzled in an abstract form around the “mountain” of food placed in the center of the plate giving the plate an extremely aesthetic look. I, however, did not try it though i was offered… Sander ordered two rolls, one was i believe some kind of seared makerel or tuna..? over a glorified california roll. The other was a mix of salmon, tuna, and shrimp over a fried shrimp roll.  Both rolls ordered by Sander, like Emily’s, were well presented. Taste wise i only tried the roll with the mixed sashimi over the shrimp roll. it was defintely different than just regular sashimi. Just imagine a mix of flavors in your mouth with soft and crunchy textures. Well i think i definately glorified that a bit. I think i glorified most of Ginzaya. This place is good and you defintately get what you pay for.
